Gillian Harris from Plymouth, in England has now been at EP for four years, having spent over 20 years serving Jesus in Mozambique. She is fluent in Portuguese, and covers many areas in the main office, and is busy with dealing with many emails from students across Africa. Her experience, adaptability and reliability make her an invaluable member of the team. Gillian has been Kay’s ‘welcomer’ and instructor into the workings of The Press and they together run the main office and reception. They enjoy a good relationship and friendship is growing as they work together.
With three ‘Brits’ working together at The Press, it reflects the former balance, in a measure, last seen in the second half of the last century, and was a major factor at the birth of Emmanuel Press way back in 1938. The international flavour of Emmanuel Press is a delightful expression of the global command of Jesus… going into all the world to preach the gospel to all. These present months are pivotal in the Press’ history as we seek God for a new chapter of growth and dynamism to emerge and be born in our future from here. Pray with us for a fresh wind of The Holy Spirit to transform the present ‘smallness’ into something significant for His Glory!
